Live wedding entertainment  that you can treasure, forever.

Live wedding  illustrations

Live event illustration is a great addition to your wedding or event. Not only does it provide you and your guests with fun entertainment, but your guests get to take home a unique favour that won't live in their junk draw!

I provide 6 hours of illustrations on the day. I can draw 1 guest in roughly 8 minutes and couples in roughly 13 minutes. Please take into account brief breaks and time between each drawing. It usually works out to be about 5-6 individuals or 4-5 couples per hour.

One of the benefits of pen and marker sketches are that there is zero drying time! I seal up the drawings in individual plastic sleeves, that your guests can pick up before they leave.

I also provide a special portrait of the happy couple, delivered after your wedding day. This is so I can really spend time getting the details perfect! There is also an opportunity to order additional guest portraits for a per-sketch fee after the wedding, which will be delivered along with your couple's portrait.

How live wedding/event illustrations work

Fill out the enquiry form

Please fill out the enquiry form and I will be in touch (usually within 2 business days). If your wedding date is available, I’ll contact you to organise a video consult. If not, I will offer to place you on my wait-list, in the event that your date does become available.

Initial video or phone consultation

During this consultation we will get to know each other and discuss what’s included in your chosen package. Following our consultation you will need to sign a contract and put down a $500 non-refundable deposit to secure your chosen date.

Final video consultation (For live wedding guest illustrations) – approximately 1 month prior to the wedding day.)

During this consultation we will discuss on-the-day logistics and your chosen set up. You will have the option to either provide me with a 2m x 1m (minimum) rectangular table station, decorated to your liking. Alternatively, I am happy to bring my own table with a cream table cloth.

The full invoice must be paid 1month out from your wedding day.

On the day

I will arrive at your reception location prior to you and your guests to set up.

I aim to begin sketching whilst you and your guests are at your ceremony (roughly 1 hour) to get things underway, and will continue to sketch from your cocktail hour and through your reception for 5 hours. I can draw 1 guest in roughly 8 minutes and couples in roughly 13 minutes. Please take into account brief breaks and time between each drawing. It usually works out to be about 5-6 individuals or 4-5 couples per hour.

If you are having a larger wedding, or would like additional drawings completed after your wedding day to accommodate additional guest portraits, I have a range of packages to suit.

Afterwards

I provide a special portrait of the happy couple, delivered after your wedding day. This is so I can really spend time getting the details perfect!

I will also provide the original and a digital copy of any additional drawings (as outlined in your chosen package.)

Delivery

Once your after-wedding illustration/s are complete (this is usually 3-4 weeks after your wedding) I will protective wrap and gift wrap your illustration. I offer free local delivery on an agreed-upon day/time, or tracked postage for those located in regional areas.

I will arrive at your ceremony location prior to you and your guests to get the base of the drawing started.

I will then capture reference photos of your chosen moment (ceremony, portrait session etc.) From this, I will be able to begin sketching, and will begin drawing the happy couple at the reception.

I try to have your drawing roughly completed 4 hours into the reception. I will allow you the opportunity to have a look and grab some photos with your photographer before I head off. Don’t worry if your drawing isn’t perfect - I will spend plenty of time finishing it off in my home studio.

Afterwards

I will make any edits and add those finer details that really make your painting come to life. This is usually around 8 hours of additional drawing.

Delivery

Once your drawing is complete (this is usually 6-8 weeks after your wedding) I will frame and gift wrap your drawing. I offer free local delivery* to your doorstep on an agreed upon day/time. Then all that you need to do is hang up your painting!
